Florida Today: Habitat for Humanity teams with RCDS and others to Provide Veterans with Ramps

We are grateful to work with Space Coast Habitat for Humanity, The Home Depot, L3Harris Technologies, and others teaming up to provide several Brevard veterans with new easy access ramps. The goal is to help veterans age in place and maintain their independence.

“We are grateful to our partners for their support of this important project,” said Rose Miles of Resource Center for Disability Solutions.

The ramps will make a big difference in the lives of these veterans, allowing them to safely and independently enter and exit their homes. One of them has already shared how his life will be impacted as he is getting a companion dog this weekend. In so doing, he will be committed to getting out of his home safely and engaging more with his community”

The organizations are planning to continue their partnership to provide additional services to veterans and other community members in the future.
