Our peer support group had an absolute blast this week getting creative with Angela Hollard, a talented art teacher from the Brevard County School District! Angela led two fantastic sessions filled with laughter, learning, and of course, beautiful artwork.
More Than Just Painting:
This wasn’t just about creating masterpieces, Angela’s sessions provided a wonderful opportunity for our peers to connect, relax, and express themselves through art. The supportive and encouraging atmosphere allowed everyone to feel comfortable exploring their creativity, regardless of prior experience.
Honoring a Legacy:
The best part? The money used to purchase the art supplies was donated by RCDS in honor of Dack Lee Holland, a devoted father, husband, good samaritan, and waterman. Dack was a founding member of the Legacy Campaign Aquarium project currently underway at the Brevard Zoo.
In honor of Dack’s legacy, RCDS proudly donated to Our Legacy Campaign Aquarium in Port Canaveral recognizing Dack. This way, our creative spirit not only enriched our group but also contributes to a meaningful project that will educate and inspire future generations. The Legacy Campaign Aquarium will be a vital educational resource, fostering appreciation for our local aquatic ecosystems.
